Eightfold Coffee Arts District

The brick and steel front of Eightfold Coffee in the Arts District with a rusted steel canopy over the door and guests at white stools on the paved patio, one with a dog

Eightfold's Arts District cafe follows its Echo Park original and is set in Suite 313 of the Factory Place Arts Complex at 555 Mateo Street. It is about the same size as the Echo Park room, with plenty of natural light, and it manages to be busy without ever being loud, with a small food program alongside the coffee. The name comes from the Eightfold Path of Buddhist teaching, a path toward changing thought and behavior.

Eightfold does not roast its own coffee and has partnered with Heart Roasters of Portland, Oregon, for the bar. Its website takes online orders for pickup from the cafe, which opens at seven thirty every morning, closing at five on weekdays and four on weekends.
