Dinosaur Coffee

Dinosaur Coffee brings a prehistoric sense of humor to Sunset Boulevard in Silver Lake, with dinosaur mugs, toys and merch and a menu lettered across a sculpted wooden canopy above the counter. The shop was started by a couple who sold it after several years to friends Saadat and Janine Awan, who also run Woodcat Coffee in Echo Park.

The menu covers espresso, americano, flash brew, cortado, flat white, cappuccino and latte, with a Kashmiri chai. The shop also sells its own coffee and ceramic mugs online and in store, including an instant coffee called Dinocat Blend, roasted in Los Angeles with Swift Cup Coffee. It opens at six thirty on weekdays and seven on weekends and closes at six every evening.
