Cafecito Organico

Angel Orozco founded Cafecito Organico in July 2004, motivated partly by political activism around organic agriculture in Guatemala, first operating as Coffee Cellar inside a culinary incubator at MacArthur Park. Momentum from the Hollywood and Silver Lake farmers markets led to the brand's first storefronts.

The mission has stayed consistent, direct relationships with small growers and family farms and a just price that lets producers sustain a livelihood. The house coffees include Espresso Clandestino, the Mujeres Blend from Copan in Honduras, a Guatemala blend, Pura Vida and a Swiss Water decaf. A full vegan menu runs alongside the coffee program, the drink list includes an Iced Cafecito, and outdoor seating extends the Silver Lake room onto the sidewalk.
