Be Bright Coffee Melrose

Be Bright began in 2020 with a simple aim, locally roasted coffee that is easy for everyday drinkers to choose. The coffee is roasted weekly in Los Angeles and sorted into four groups, Dark and Bold, Rich and Smooth, Bright and Lively, and Unique and Surprising. Before the Melrose cafe opened in 2022, the team spent about three and a half years as a Sunday pop up at Smorgasburg, and the founders' own phrase for the Melrose cafe is a place to call home.

The menu pairs signature drinks such as the Ultralight Bean caramel latte and the Toasted Island Latte with espresso classics, a long tea list, and toasts and sandwiches built on a black sesame loaf. Competition results include a 2024 US Barista Championship title and second place at the 2025 US Brewers Cup. It opens daily from eight in the morning to four in the afternoon.
