Alana's Coffee Roasters Mar Vista

Alana's Mar Vista cafe sits in a brick storefront on Venice Boulevard, and the roaster behind it began by selling single origin beans at Los Angeles farmers markets before settling into a permanent home. The team roasts in house almost daily and uses only beans that are in season, bought either directly from farmers or through a supplier who works with growers worldwide.

The bar makes its own syrups, keeps its powders simple and low in sugar, and has chosen milks and milk alternatives to suit the espresso. The sidewalk patio has umbrella shaded picnic tables under shade trees and hosts open mic nights. The cafe opens daily from six thirty in the morning to five in the afternoon.
