Wylie's Coffee

The bright Wylie's Coffee counter with a letter board menu, a glass pastry case, plants and a sunlit window

Wylie's Coffee was launched in 2021 by Freddie and Stef, who fell for coffee culture while living in Sydney and then spent four weeks visiting roasters and shops across Japan. The name comes from Wylie's Baths, an ocean rock pool near Bondi where they spent weekends with good coffee. The Southfields shop on Replingham Road follows a simple idea: a moment of calm in the day, over a really great cup.

The house espresso rotates with the seasons, and two guest roasters from around the world are featured each month, with the same beans on the retail shelves, on the filter menu and as a guest espresso. The team buys only from traders with direct relationships to producers. There are now three shops, including Battersea and St Margaret's, and each keeps the same unhurried, neighbourhood feel.
