Riffs Coffee

Riffs is a neighbourhood coffee shop on Normand Road, in a quiet corner of West Kensington close to Brompton Cemetery, run by two brothers with a serious love of coffee. The team describes the place as polished mayhem: service that is considered and precise, in a room that stays relaxed and a little chaotic. There are tables inside and benches outside for watching the street, and regulars and first timers get the same welcome.

The bar does not tie itself to one roaster. Beans rotate regularly, and past lineups have included Paris based People Possession, Intermission Coffee and Helm Coffee Roasters, served as espresso and pour over. Bags are sold to take home, which makes it an easy place to try a roaster you might not find elsewhere in London, and the changing selection gives regulars something new to discover most weeks.
