Prufrock Coffee

Mustard-leather booth seating at Prufrock Coffee, whitewashed brick, a plant, and a pour-over carafe on a marble table

Sits on Leather Lane's market street, whitewashed brick and mid century Danish chairs giving it an airy, open feel that holds up even when the lane outside is at full market volume. Leather Lane has run a lunchtime street market since at least the 17th century, and the food stalls setting up each weekday still shape the rhythm of the block. Since 2017 Prufrock has been part of Square Mile Coffee Roasters, one of London's most respected roasting operations, and pours Square Mile beans alongside rotating guest roasts from names like Tim Wendelboe and Coffee Collective rather than roasting on site itself.

Bagged beans and house merchandise are sold through its own webshop as well as at the counter. A long running training program runs out of the same space, drawing baristas from across London and beyond for courses that go well past a casual coffee education. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
