Paradox Design + Coffee

Paradox Design + Coffee is a pocket sized spot in Netil Market near London Fields, started by husband and wife Zain Kara Bernou and Kathrine Miskulin, an experienced coffee couple who set out to build something that joins good coffee, craft and design under one roof. Most people grab a drink from the little hatch, then wander the market, but the adjoining room is worth a look for its handmade objects.

The roaster list is wide and keeps moving, with Campbell and Syme, Dark Coffee Roasters and beans picked up on a trip to the south west coast all passing through the machines. The couple also run The Other Paradox, building coffee carts, signage and shop fit outs for the industry, and they designed the room at Simmos. Hours are short and the seats are few, and tables outside suit a sunny day.
