Origin Coffee Scoresby Street

Origin Coffee Roasters was founded in Cornwall in 2004 by Tom Sobey and roasts in Porthleven, and the Scoresby Street arch is one of its London bases, a railway arch cafe near Bankside that also works as a training hub for the team.

The bar is built around Origin's own coffees, with a direct trade espresso and filter that changes with the season. Origin is a B Corp that buys direct from producers, won the Queen's Award for Enterprise for sustainable development in 2022 and was named Europe's best specialty roaster in 2023. Opening hours stretch from eight on weekdays to five, with a half past eight start at weekends and a four o'clock close on Sundays.
