Omotesando Koffee is a boutique Japanese coffee shop that began in Tokyo in 2011, and its one London shop sits on Newman Street in Fitzrovia, inside the Rathbone Square development. The room is minimal and quietly stylish, built around a counter that is the centrepiece of the space, where the whole process from bean to cup happens in full view of anyone waiting for their drink.

The menu stays short and focused on coffee and matcha, the drink the shop is best known for, with traditional Japanese snacks such as kashi sweets and egg sandos alongside. It opens at nine every day of the week and closes at five, so it is a daytime stop for a careful cup rather than an evening one.
