Nostos Coffee

Edison Shehu founded Nostos in May 2021, taking its name from the Greek word for home and weaving traditional Hellenic coffee habits into a London specialty bar. The cafe fills a low brick building beside the railway arches at Battersea Park station, with an L shaped counter, a Synesso machine and benches and low stools that face the staff, so the room feels like a conversation.

Nostos has grown from buying in other roasters to roasting seasonal coffees itself, picked and roasted by the founding team and served in the cafe and sold as beans and subscriptions. A narrow outdoor seating area runs down the side of the building. A second site, an experience bar by St James's Park, shows how seriously the team takes brewing, but Battersea remains its home.
