Monies

Monies is a Cornish rooted coffee bar on Upper Richmond Road, set back from the street behind a generous terrace between East Putney and Putney stations. It opened in 2021 with a clear point of view: Cornish coffee and tea, a passion for buying local and a love of art, all in a sizeable, bright room with floor to ceiling windows across the whole front.

The espresso is a seasonal single origin from Yallah Coffee in Cornwall, with another single origin from a guest roaster on pour over, and bags of Yallah go home with you from the retail shelves. A long window bar runs along the left wall and there is plenty of seating towards the back, while the terrace out front catches the sun for most of the day.
