Kafi

Kafi is owned by Yatish and Tripti, who built the Fitzrovia coffee bar around a sustainable, traceable cup: direct sourcing, local suppliers, reclaimed materials and London Living Wage pay. It opened in 2019 and now trades from Cleveland Street, with living plants in the planters and a fit out made largely from reclaimed and recycled material. Its website sets the philosophy out in plain terms, a vision of a sustainable coffee cup backed by London Living Wage accreditation.

The coffee list is built around single origin beans matched to a brewing method. Workshop has served as the house roaster with a guest roaster rotating in, and the menu on the website walks through each method, from espresso and pour over to siphon, Aeropress, cold brew and nitro. Barista classes run in the shop, and there is bench seating outside when the weather allows.
