Ginger & White Hampstead

Ginger & White occupies a corner of Perrins Court, a pedestrian lane in Hampstead, with brown awnings, orange folding chairs on the paving and tables inside and out for walk ins. The kitchen makes everything by hand from scratch each day, from dippy eggs and toasties to banana chocolate chip cake, and the cakes have been a local favourite since 2012.
The coffee comes from Square Mile, the London roaster behind a long list of awards, pulled as espresso and filter alongside a White Label blend sold under the cafe's own name. The place runs plastic free, welcomes dogs by name, and fills up at weekends, so go early on a Saturday. Weekdays open at half past seven, Sundays at eight.
