Elsewhere Coffee Roasters

Jack Howells started out running a mobile coffee bar business called Social Espresso in 2016, working events for brands like Ferrari and Vogue, then began roasting out of his own garage in 2018 to supply it. Elsewhere Coffee Roasters launched as a mail order brand in 2019, right before the pandemic forced Social Espresso's events side to pause, and the roastery became the business that carried the company through.

The Deptford site puts the roaster inside the customer facing brew bar, under a railway arch, pouring the house Daydreamer blend, a seasonally rotating espresso currently built on a Brazilian honey processed lot from Fazenda Mió, alongside roughly seven single origin filter options and a decaf called Night Rider. A mystery wheel lets anyone spin for a random bean from the full range, and the counter runs home brew training sessions alongside the coffee itself.
