1930 Coffee Co is an independent company on Lever Street that combines a specialty coffee shop, an online store and its own roasting lab under one roof. Coffees are roasted in small batches and served as thoughtfully brewed cups, with all day breakfasts and pastries alongside, and the shop is open every day of the week.

The bean list leans toward the interesting end of the spectrum, with lots such as a washed Gesha from Finca Las Brisas in Colombia, an anaerobic honey from Las Lajas in Costa Rica and a Black Honey Pacamara from El Salvador. The team also runs a Circular Coffee Project, testing ways to turn used grounds and roasting by products into fuel briquettes, an idea that began in winter 2024 with watching narrowboat life on London's canals.
