London · Greenwich, at the entrance to Greenwich Market
15grams

Joe and Inas Sid started 15grams around a kitchen table roughly five years before opening the doors, funding their first sack of green beans by convincing Joe's then employer to prepay a month's coffee order. The Greenwich Church Street shop opened in April 2021, taking over the site of a closed café called Sophia & Matt right at the entrance to Greenwich Market, with a second location following in Blackheath the next year.
Everything runs through a Synesso machine, pulling two house blends, Church Street for an all rounder and Meridian, alongside a rotating single origin filter list that's run through Costa Rica, Kenya and Ethiopia, plus a decaf called Tranquil Vale. St John Bakery supplies the pastries, and the pair have since built their own roastery and started turning spent coffee grounds into fire starting Brew Bricks as a side sustainability project.
