Bean Coffee Roasters started in 2008 and built its own roastery at Brunswick Dock in 2016, since growing into a small chain across Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh, and Sheffield without losing its independent roots. The Liverpool ONE shop pairs a retail area with a dedicated brew bar, built specifically to help home brewers dial in their own setup rather than just sell coffee to drink on site.

The menu balances accessibility with depth, polished without tipping corporate, approachable enough for a casual flat white while still offering plenty for anyone who wants to talk process and origin. Staff lean knowledgeable and welcoming rather than performative, a tone that's carried the brand well past its original Liverpool base.
