The Royal Rawness

The Royal Rawness began as a roaster, then opened a café in Porto, and since late 2023 has made its Lisbon home inside the Hub Criativo do Beato, a former factory complex that now hosts studios and start ups. The café fills one of the old buildings across two floors, and the upstairs room is set around a large wooden table that is used for coworking and small events.
Coffee is roasted and ground on site by hand from lots bought in Honduras, Brazil, Mexico, Kenya, Costa Rica and Myanmar, and founder Paulo Pinho leans toward thoughtful blends such as the house Beato Blend, which carries the name of its neighbourhood. Bags of the roasts are sold through the shop's online store, and the counter pours espresso and filter for anyone passing through the hub.
