Tasta Café is the Lima home of Finca Tasta, a family farm in Llaylla, Satipo, in the Junín highlands, where siblings Edith and Iván Meza have grown coffee for more than ten years. For most of that time their beans travelled abroad, to the United States, Canada, Italy, Spain and beyond, and the café on Jirón Diego de Almagro in Jesús María lets Peruvians taste the same harvests close to home. Edith earned her master's in the economics and science of coffee at the University of Trieste on an Ernesto Illy scholarship, and the farm's microlots and nanolots have scored above 90 points in international cupping ratings.

The farm grows Caturra, Catuai, Gesha, Pacamara and Maragogype at around 1,550 metres, and each lot is processed with care, as natural, honey or washed coffees including alcoholic fermentation. The coffees carry the names of gemstones, such as Amatista, Ópalo, Jaspe and Granate, with a colour on each bag to match. Whole bean bags of the farm's coffees are also sold to take home.
