Mü Café

Naira and her partner, a Brazilian couple who moved to Lille in 2020, opened Mü Café on rue Pierre Mauroy near Gare Lille Flandres in July 2024, choosing France in part for its pastry tradition after concluding Brazil had no real equivalent. Naira had already worked behind the counter at Tamper and Paddo Café in Lille before starting her own place, and the finished room leans minimalist, with roughly 25 seats inside and another 25 on the terrace, all within view of the Saint Maurice church across the street.

The counter runs filter coffee, mocha, chai and matcha lattes alongside homemade pastries, cookies and cinnamon rolls, with a seasonal food menu built around local and quality ingredients. The light filled, uncluttered room draws as much attention as the drinks, though the space can get loud when it fills up.
