Analog Café

A narrow cafe hallway with a dark blue wall lined with bagged coffee and a hanging t shirt, leading past a wood counter with a coffee grinder to a bright doorway opening onto a garden

Tucked into the Pöge Haus, a repurposed industrial building around Neustädter Markt in the Neustadt Neuschönefeld district, Analog Café runs on a scale rare for a city cafe: one person handles the counter, so drinks arrive slowly and deliberately rather than at pace. Regulars say the wait is worth it, and the small back garden behind the building gives the neighborhood somewhere to sit with a coffee and let the time pass.

Cakes change often and are all made in house, with a New York cheesecake among the recurring favorites, and a small shop counter inside sells bagged beans and merchandise alongside the drinks menu. The cafe keeps short, specific hours, Monday, Thursday and Friday from late morning into the evening and weekends from midday, with Tuesday and Wednesday fixed as rest days.
