Kurasu Ebisugawa

Kurasu Ebisugawa opened in 2020 on Ebisugawa, Kyoto's furniture street, a short walk from the Imperial Palace. It carries the founding idea of Kurasu: supporting home brewing. The brewing counter has no professional grinders or espresso machines, and every drink is made with the same equipment sold on the shelves, from filter coffee to AeroPress lattes.
Staff demonstrate the gear as they prepare each cup, so the bar works as a tasting room for anyone choosing a dripper or kettle. The beans are roasted at the Kurasu Nishijin Roastery, from light to dark, and the shop also sells baked sweets under the Kashi by Kurasu label.
