Coffee Base Nashinoki

A traditional Japanese wooden building with a white noren curtain at the entrance, surrounded by green maple trees and shrubs

Coffee Base Nashinoki opened on 27 August 2022 in the grounds of Nashinoki Shrine, just east of the Kyoto Imperial Palace gardens. It occupies a former tea room that was renovated while keeping its exterior and garden, and it draws on water from the Somei spring, one of Kyoto's three famous waters, which still flows within the shrine.

The stand is the sister of Coffee Base Kanondo and serves drip coffee made with specialty beans that change with the season. Multi drink courses are served at a counter at the back by reservation, and the building has a veranda seating area and a private room.
