Idealist Coffee

Volodymyr Yefremov founded Idealist in 2018 and has grown it into a full cycle specialty operation with its own roastery and around ten cafes across Kyiv, plus a drip bag line that reaches Ukrzaliznytsia trains, hotels and retailers well beyond the counter. The Yaroslaviv Val room near the Golden Gate is the chain's flagship, roughly sixty seats on the ground floor of a restored building known locally as the house with photographs, the largest single space in the network.

The kitchen runs a full breakfast menu served all day alongside melts and soups, and the drinks list stretches from house roasted espresso and filter into natural wine, seasonal teas and matcha. The shop leans on a self deprecating slogan, we are not perfect, but our coffee is, and stays open long hours every day of the week.
