Transparent Coffee

Tucked inside an old apartment block called Sam Mansion in Kampung Attap, Transparent feels like a quiet secret, all rustic wood, soft natural light and a minimal room that rewards the people who find it. It was founded by Malaysian barista champions Joey Mah and Keith Koay together with Ng Jia Le, who also run the One Half roasteries, and the name is a promise: transparent origin, transparent process and transparent pricing.

The team buys green coffee directly from the farmers who grow it, credits them by name, and builds the list around seasonality, with origins rotating through the year and the menu refreshed every quarter. Batch brews, espresso and a short run of coffee focused drinks sit alongside light bites, making it an easy stop for anyone who wants to taste where their cup came from.
