Stellar Coffee

Stellar started as a six seat bar and has grown into a coffee shop with a roastery of its own, one of the longest standing tenants at REXKL on Jalan Sultan, a short walk from Petaling Street. The name comes from shooting stars, each one different, which is how the team thinks about coffee and the people drinking it. Inside, pale plywood steps, a steel hooded counter with the Stellar script on its front and a red concrete floor open out onto a leafy courtyard with terrace tables.

The philosophy is to roast to reveal rather than to transform, protecting the story of each origin from farm to cup, and the shelves carry espresso and filter lots alongside drip bags. The bar is a proving ground too, with team barista Izz taking third runner up at the Malaysia Open Barista Championship in May 2026, and the counter turns out filter and espresso made to let each coffee speak for itself.
