Tiara Kaffebrenneri

Tiara Kaffebrenneri has run as a family business in Kvadraturen since 2008, with the roaster itself standing inside the Markens gate cafe rather than tucked away in a back room. A second location on Radhusgata followed as the shop grew. The signature TAJ Mocha layers espresso with chili, warm spices and orange peel, and the menu also runs to Taiwanese bubble tea alongside the coffee.

Visiting midweek gives the best chance of catching a batch on the roaster in action. Beans are sold by the bag for those who want to take the house roast home, and the shop keeps some of the longest daily hours of any coffee bar in the city center.
