Wesoła Cafe

A warm neon sign reading LEPIEJ PIĆ KAWĘ NIŻ NIE glowing on an exposed brick wall under string lights, with cafe-goers softly blurred in the foreground

Rafal Mayer opened Wesoła Cafe in March 2014, taking the name straight from the neighborhood around it, a residential pocket east of the old town that doesn't see much tourist traffic. The room built its reputation on specialty coffee alongside a proper breakfast and lunch menu rather than treating food as an afterthought.

A deli style grab and go counter runs alongside the sit down menu, useful for the office and university crowd that fills the neighborhood on weekdays. Early opening hours, from 7 most mornings, have made it as much a commuter stop as a destination cafe.
