Limetka v meandru

The Limetka v meandru shipping-container kiosk with its wood-slat counter and signage, seen from the outdoor terrace with parasol tables on a sunny day

At the edge of Meandr Ohře, the riverside park that loops along the Ohře on the western side of Karlovy Vary, Limetka v meandru is built into a repurposed shipping container that anchors a small terrace of outdoor tables. It was set up by Anna Rusnáková, who trained in nutritional therapy in Prague and spent eight years behind the bar at the specialty roaster Doubleshot before bringing that same coffee to her own spot beside the water.

The kitchen serves brunch dishes such as Turkish eggs alongside open faced sandwiches, cakes and homemade lemonades, and the bar adds natural wines and cocktails as the coffee crowd gives way to an evening one. There is no indoor seating, so the tables under the trees are the only option, reachable on foot, by bike along the riverside path, or by car from the town center.
