Lékárna by City Roasters

The curved white hexagon-tiled counter and open roastery-style interior at Lékárna by City Roasters, with a barista in motion, a herringbone wood floor, and guests seated at communal tables

Lékárna by City Roasters took over a former pharmacy in the Praha passage on T. G. Masaryka, keeping the old name as a nod to the building's past while turning the space into the town facing café for City Roasters, the roastery based just outside the center in Sedlec. Coffee runs through an automatic Modbar setup built into the counter, and the beans are the same ones the roastery sells by the bag.

Food comes out in bowls rather than on plates, poke, avocado toast and scrambled eggs among them, making the space as much a breakfast stop as a coffee one, with the kitchen turning toward cocktails later in the day. Cakes and homemade lemonade round out the counter, and the roastery's beans, sourced from origins such as Brazil, Tanzania and Ethiopia, are available to take home.
