A Roastworks

Andrew Tandra started A Roastworks in 2018 as a small operation attached to his late grandfather's neighborhood bakery, Papa and Mama, before reopening solo in December 2024 at a standalone flagship in Green Ville, West Jakarta. The space reads more like a brew lab than a cafe, built around the pillars of quality, transparency and traceability, with clean counters set up for talking through roast profiles and brew parameters with the baristas.
The menu rotates through a handful of light roasted single origins and blends, recent pours have included a citrusy Sumatra Ribang Gayo and a floral Ethiopia Chelbesa, alongside a house blend called Peanut Butter built for milk drinks. Beans are roasted on site and shipped across Indonesia and internationally, and West Jakarta regulars still talk about pricing that runs higher than most of the city's cafes.
