New Heights Coffee Roasters

New Heights is a roaster and cafe in the Asch Building on Studewood Street, a white brick corner with planters and outdoor tables at the door and a green painted interior lined with shelves of coffee bags and books. The founder grew up in the Heights and named the company for the neighborhood, with a mission built around good coffee, education and service to the community.
The seasonal Alchemy menu turns coffee into spritzes, clarified milk punches and infused flat whites, including a flat white infused with bacon, rosemary and applewood smoke, so it is worth reading before you order. Bags of roasts, from a funky filter coffee to a decaf and a half caff, are sold online. The cafe opens early on weekdays, at half past six, and at seven on weekends, and closes at five every day.
