La Tazza Specialty Coffee

La Tazza is a neighborhood cafe and roaster on Stella Link Road in Braeswood Place, set in a warm room of wood paneling, patterned wall panels and a long cushioned bench. It buys coffee through direct relationships with farms, travels to origin to cup side by side, and roasts small batches in Houston, with one of its partners acting as a Q Grader to taste and select each lot for sweetness, clarity and balance.

The bags on offer have included Dolce Vita, a washed Colombian with cinnamon, maple and dark chocolate notes, Sidra Natural, and Banko Taratu, an Ethiopian with blueberry and floral notes. The counter serves espresso drinks and seasonal specials alongside pastries and light bites, and bags can be bought in the cafe or online. The shop has its own parking lot and a comfortable room for settling in with a laptop or a friend.
