Giant Leap Coffee

The white Giant Leap Coffee building at Uptown Park with black framed windows, pink bistro tables along the wall and a yellow patio umbrella

Giant Leap Coffee is a space themed cafe in a low white building at Uptown Park, with big black framed windows, a row of pink bistro tables along the wall and a yellow umbrella over the patio. It first opened in Houston's East End in 2018 and moved to Uptown Park in 2020, inspired by Houston's legacy as Space City, and it is built around a rotating lineup of locally roasted coffees with a guest roaster featured every month.

The bar offers a single origin espresso on the market menu, a Milky Way latte inspired by cafe sua da, a halvah inspired latte called the I.S.S., a golden milk latte and ceremonial matcha imported from Japan. Teas include white jasmine, oolong and rooibos, there is local kombucha, and fresh pastries from local bakers and breakfast tacos round out the menu. It is open daily.
