Blackwater Coffee Roasters River Oaks

Blackwater Coffee Roasters River Oaks is the roaster's own street side cafe on San Felipe, a bright, plant filled room with a long pale wood counter, a three group espresso machine and rattan chairs, with a few seats outside. It began as a kiosk and grew into a small kitchen, and the cafe pours lattes and espresso alongside a short breakfast menu.

The coffee is roasted in East Downtown by a head roaster who works from seasonal, ethically sourced lots that meet specialty standards. Bags of blends and single origins are sold here and online, from the Cartographer espresso blend with caramel and candied hazelnut notes to a Colombian Swiss Water decaf. The cafe keeps weekday hours.
