Crew

Three local baristas who crossed paths in Wan Chai opened Crew in 2020 and decided to root the business right there. The corner shop is painted in a signature forest green, a colour the founders took from Hong Kong icons like the Star Ferry, the tram and Cathay Pacific, and the hatch style counter looks onto a small outdoor seating area with potted palms.

The bar is built around single origin espresso and hand drip, with a rotating lineup of lots such as a washed Panama from the Las Brujas farm or Ethiopian beans from Elto Coffee in Sidama, all also sold by the bag and as drip bags. Crew has since opened a second counter at Jardine House in Central, but the Queen's Road East original remains its home turf.
