Barista Jam

Barista Jam is one of Jervois Street's longest serving cafes, a grey fronted, industrial feeling room that describes itself as a specialty coffee shop, roastery and coffee equipment retailer all at once. It is a two storey space with a big table upstairs that suits groups, and its quiet, slightly mysterious look has made it a favourite with Sheung Wan regulars and with visitors who walk down from the Central offices at lunch.

Brewing is the point here, with Japanese siphon, French press, Aeropress and hand drip all part of the repertoire, and a mini museum of brewing tools on the upper floor shows how many ways there are to make a cup. The team also stocks home brewing gear for anyone who wants to take the craft home.
