Steam Single Origin Coffees

Steam Single Origin Coffees runs out of a glass fronted storefront on Leoforos Ikarou, roughly midway between central Heraklion and the airport, making it a natural coffee stop before or after a flight. The shop carries the Steam brand distributed by the Heraklion company Kokolakis, built around beans sourced from single farms in Brazil, Ethiopia, Guatemala and Colombia rather than house blends.

Regulars come in as much for the beans as the espresso bar, picking up a bag of whatever origin is pouring that week alongside a freddo espresso or filter coffee to go. The room is quiet and good for working, with a policy that welcomes dogs, though the shop keeps tighter hours than most Heraklion cafes and closes entirely on Sunday.
