El Fant Café & Bar

Sunlit pine tables and chairs with a red bench, candles and dried flowers on the window sill inside El Fant

El Fant is a specialty café beside the Helsinki City Museum in the Torikorttelit quarter, where a short list of hand brewed coffees from Finland and further afield changes with whatever the baristas have chosen that week. Pour overs and V60s share the counter with sourdough toasts, salads, pasta and a house made carrot cake, and the café was ranked among Finland's top 30 in 2026.

The first house espresso, a medium dark blend of washed Peruvian and Costa Rican coffees, was developed with Inka Paahtimo in Helsinki, and beans from Good Life Coffee sit on the shelves beside it. Evenings turn to live jazz on the first Friday of each month and a sheltered courtyard terrace opens behind the café in summer.
