Café Metsäpaahtimo

Café Metsäpaahtimo sits in the red brick Venetsia building by the sea in Lapinlahti, around the back of the old yellow main hospital building and right on the water. The room is built around a calm, natural idea of hospitality, with a counter that serves barista made coffee, breakfasts, pastries and vegetarian and vegan plates, and tables outside beside the shoreline.
The coffee is roasted in house from beans that the owners, Petteri and Janita, import directly from small farms in India and from Bali, with single origins and blends on the shelves to take home. Evenings turn the café into an alcohol free wine bar, and forest flavoured drinks and kombucha sit alongside the espresso and filter.
