Kafeville

Two storey cafe building with a white upper floor, wooden framed windows, a red awning and green vines trailing over a glass entrance, with scooters parked outside.

Kafeville opened in March 2016 as a tiny coffee shop on the edge of the Old Quarter, one of the first in Hanoi to bring specialty coffee to town. The room is quiet, given over to the scent of roasting beans, good music and books, and the owner and baristas are glad to talk through what is in the cup.

Everything is roasted in house, with Vietnamese single origins alongside green coffee brought in from Burundi, Ethiopia and further afield. The bar brews V60, Chemex, AeroPress and phin, and beans go home in small lots.
