Nord Coast Coffee Roastery

Nord Coast Coffee Roastery has been roasting since 2015 on Deichstraße, the oldest surviving street in Hamburg's old town, a few steps from the Speicherstadt where coffee has been traded for generations. The team believes a great cup comes down to three things: the choice of the bean, the roast and the brew, and they roast fresh every day.
The range runs from light roasts of Nicaraguan, Rwandan, Colombian and Kenyan coffees, which bring out floral and fruity notes, to medium roasts from Guatemala, Burundi and Honduras, plus espresso blends such as Porto and Black Opium. A long wooden bar with a Spirit espresso machine anchors the airy two floor room beside the canal, and for every kilo of coffee sold the roastery donates 50 cents to social projects in the countries where the beans grow.
