Bean There

Maurice spent a year travelling the world and working on coffee farms, learning how coffee is grown and hearing the stories of the farmers behind it, and Bean There is the café he opened to share that journey. The name says it all, and the tagline is Coffee & Journeys: specialty coffee inspired by the places and people he met along the way, with a goal of supporting small farmers and their families.

Since April 2023 the café has lived on Forsmannstraße in Winterhude, a short walk from its first home, with a lounge, high tables and a big community table inside, and benches and more community tables under the awning outside. The bar pours everything from flat whites to cold brew and hand brew, homemade cakes and cinnamon rolls sit alongside, and the shop sells coffee and gear for home or your next trip, with travel tips thrown in for free.
