Native Haarlem

The storefront with NATIVE lettered on the window, white terrace umbrellas and yellow and grey chairs set beneath a tree

Native fills a corner of Breestraat with a living room styled interior, greenery climbing the walls and natural light doing most of the work, run on beans from Amsterdam's White Label Coffee. The house does not take reservations, built instead for a casual drop in, and colorful parasols mark out the terrace outside.

Honey glazed apple pie paired with a cup is the shop's signature order, and the room stays full through most of the day, one of the higher volume specialty stops in central Haarlem. A related bar under the same ownership family, Bar Gast on Gasthuislaan, sits nearby as a separate venue rather than a second Native location.
