Ginko Greenhouse

Ginko Greenhouse is the vegan cafe spun off from the longstanding Restaurant Ginko next door, set inside the Altstadtpassage just off Herrengasse in the middle of Graz's old town. Run by Esmee and Berit Gilma, the room lives up to its name with dense houseplants, patterned tile floors and a Scandinavian palette, turning what could be a dim passage address into one of the brighter rooms in the city center, with extra seating on a mezzanine above.

The coffee is Cignobianco, a blend of Brazilian and Peruvian arabica roasted by Gardelli in Forlì, pulled as espresso or poured through a rotating filter selection the baristas choose to show off lighter roasts. Everything on the food side is vegan and mostly self served from a buffet island priced by weight, built around bowls, bagels, a changing lunch menu and an in house bakery that mills its own spelt flour daily for cakes and gluten free bakes.
