Beanery Specialty Coffee

Beanery Specialty Coffee sits in Geidorf, tucked between Stadtpark and the university, and it was reshaped into a specialty focused cafe when former barista champion Christian Aramburo took over a few years back. The house team roasts its own beans, including Brazilian lots used for the espresso based drinks, while filter coffee is often built around rotating guest beans from roasters such as Italy's Gardelli. The menu leaves out the traditional Austrian melange entirely, aiming instead at flat whites, filter coffee and other drinks that specialty regulars look for when they travel.

Alongside the coffee, Beanery bakes its own pastries and cakes, with vegan and plant based milk options built into the regular offering rather than treated as an afterthought. There is indoor and outdoor seating, dogs are welcome, and the cafe doubles as a reliable stop for families with kids in tow. Beans are sold by the bag for anyone who wants to keep drinking Beanery's coffee at home after leaving Graz.
