Utopia Coffee

Elodie and Eddy El Bounabi discovered specialty coffee traveling through New Zealand in 2012 and spent seven years working in the industry before opening Utopia in 2018. Rather than roasting on site, the pair run their own roasting facility in Gland, between Geneva and Lausanne, with the Eaux-Vives room functioning as the retail and cafe front of that operation.

Direct trade with small family run importers anchors the sourcing, built around Swiss organic certified and traditionally organic farms, biodynamic and permaculture grown lots, and aluminum free, recycled label packaging. The room sits a street back from the Jet d'Eau, and a brunch menu of pain au chocolat, apple pancakes, and falafel runs alongside the coffee.
