Corde Coffee

Carlina Rinaldi Johnson left a fourteen year career in marketing and brand strategy to become a specialty coffee roaster, opening Corde's first room in Eaux-Vives in January 2020 inside a space it originally shared with the beer bar TomBeers. She roasts every bag herself and develops the cake recipes too, a second location with its own dedicated roastery having since opened in Coutance near Bel-Air in January 2023.
Beans are chosen by quality score and traceability under a fair trade approach, sourced from environmentally conscious suppliers and packaged in sustainable, reusable materials. The small Eaux-Vives room runs a rotating chalkboard of single origins explained in detail at the counter, alongside homemade vegetarian food like quiches, tarts, and carrot cake.
